WINI was founded in 1908 by Wilhelm Niemeier, and it was his initials, at the same time, that gave the company its name. Today the company is run in the third generation by its managing directors Carolina Schmidt-Karsch and Hans F. Karsch. 

Based on flexible organisation and fractal manufacturing, WINI has been making the realisation of individual customers' wishes possible since then – in every aspect of office furnishing.

Nowadays, the name WINI stands for innovative products, short delivery times and independent design, as well as customer-oriented, personal and reliable service.
