When Duingen's company WINI acquired the branch in Marienau in 1936, it could fall back on a grown substance. Even since the turn of the century a wood-working factory existed on today's area between villa and sandstone hall. This factory had to close during the economic crisis of 1929. The later company "Wilhelm Niemeier successors KG" increased in the time of war and the post-war years to a size of more than 600 employees. In these days the production of office furniture was concentrated there.
